The Mormon missionaries all wear the same kind of dark blue suit, and women dresses and jackets. They do not use their last names and they have a single phone. They are not allowed to watch television. They may use a computer only on Sundays in order to send a letter to their close ones. Their daily agenda has been determined by a prophet. Missionary work cannot be done alone. It is done in pairs because it is safer that way. Reading news is also prohibited. Any and all external influences are forbidden for them so that they could only concentrate on their work.
I ask the missionaries who are living together to take pictures with disposable cameras of their favourite places, people, objects and situations in order for me to see their personal preferences.
The project has been carried out with two male missionaries with the Tallinn Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who were nearing the end of their two-year mission.
The project is on-going with other missionaries in Tartu, Pärnu and Narva.
